And So, the lion fell in love with the lamb... "What a sick, masochistic lion.." "What a stupid lamb..."

I have already read the Twilight series twice. I have picked up some other stuff to read but haven't been able to let go of the Cullens. I have put down the other stuff and started the saga again. Maybe I need therapy! HELP!! what to read next?!
I read the newspaper and pretend all the stories involve vampires in some sort of way like a conspiracy..I totaly lost it.....

Millions have read Stephenie Meyer’s young adult series “Twilight,” making the vampire sub-genre one of the most popular to read. But what do you read after ‘Twilight’? Several authors have previously written young adult vampire novels, but ultimately these titles either went out-of-print or to the backburner. Meyer and her “Twilight” creation have catapulted the vampire sub-genre into the sunlight. These older novels are now being republished and new authors are emerging into the spotlight. The young adult section of bookstores is now crammed full of single-title and series vampire novels.

If you are looking for a new series, this list provides five of the most up-and-coming vampire series in the young adult section.

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes writes the incomparable Den of Shadows series. The books were first published a few years ago, but have recently come back into the spotlight. The characters in the books are all connected to each other in one way or another. The villain in one can be the hero in another and with Atwater-Rhodes gritty descriptions makes her hidden vampire world come alive.

Books in the series: In the Forests of the Night, Demon in My View, Shattered Mirror, Midnight Predator

House of Night series by P.C. & Kristen Cast: This series introduces Zoey Redbird, a normal girl whose world changes forever when she is Marked as a fledgling vampyre. But Zoey is no ordinary fledgling- she has been Marked by the vampire Goddess Nyx and as her powers grow so does the darkness around her. Zoey and her vampire friends must combat their way through the growing dissent at the House of Night and fulfill their destinies as the Goddess Nyx’s champions.

Books in the series: Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, Tempted (Oct 2009)

Mortal Instrument trilogy by Cassandra Clare has been hailed as “a story world I would love to live in” by Stephenie Meyer. Witnessing a murder changes Clary Fray’s life when she encounters the Shadowhunters- warriors determined to rid the world of demons while keeping the vamps and werewolves in line. Pulled into a world she doesn’t understand with suddenly blossoming powers, Clary has to make her way careful through webs of deceit and misdirection.

Books in the series: City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead is “a dark and compelling world” according to author Gena Showalter. Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess, a mortal vampire tied to the earth’s magic. She is protected at all costs from the immortal vampires known as Strigoi. Her best friend Rose has dedicated her life to protecting Lissa, but after two years of hiding they are caught and dragged back to St Vladimir’s Academy, the place they ran away from in the first place. Now the girls must find their way through this treacherous world filled with temptation and mortal peril.

Books in the series: Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise (Aug 2009)

The Immortals series by Alyson Noel is a new series that tells the story of Ever, a misfit who was the sole survivor of an accident that killed her entire family. Now living with her aunt, she is combating survivor’s guilt and the disturbing new ability to hear other people’s thoughts. Her days of hiding from the world end when she meets Damen Auguste, the gorgeous and wealthy new kid who has the power to silence the voices in her head. The only problem is that she has no idea who he is, what he is, and now she thinks she’s falling in love with him.

I feel your pain -- I was obsessed to.

one thing that is kind of fun -- go to one of the twilight fanfiction websites like this one:

http://www.twilightarchives.com/browse.php?type=categories

you can read alternate endings etc. from fans. It is actually kind of neat

Is it sad that I've read all of those series? LOL My fave vamp series though is the Sookie Stackhouse/True blood series by Charlaine Harris.
